On April 30, 2023, a homicide occurred in the Green District of Roseburg, Oregon, resulting in the death of 52-year-old Tonya Cathleen Ball. The incident was reported around 2:30 p.m. when 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call about a homicide at a residence in the 4000-block of Carnes Road. Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, along with officers from the Winston and Roseburg Police Departments, responded to the scene.
