Phillip E. Pierce, a 37-year-old resident of Portland, Oregon, was found dead on January 26, 2024, inside a house on Southeast Sun Crest Drive in the Lents neighborhood. The discovery was made around 9 a.m. following a missing persons report, which led police to the residence.
The investigation by the Portland Police Bureau determined that Pierce's death was a homicide. Shortly after the discovery, police identified his wife, Analiesa Golde, as a person of interest in his death.
It was believed that she was on the run, and a nearly month-long manhunt ensued to locate her. The search expanded from northwest Oregon into southwest Washington on February 6, with law enforcement warning that Golde should be considered armed and dangerous. She was last seen driving a burnt orange Toyota 4Runner with Oregon license plates 501 HSB.
During the manhunt, Crime Stoppers offered a $25,000 reward for any information that led to Golde's arrest. On February 20, the day before Golde's body was found, Pierce's mother, Stacy, made an emotional plea for Golde to turn herself in, expressing the family's heartbreak and the difficulty of waiting for any news.
On February 21, 2024, the Portland Police Bureau announced that Analiesa Golde had been found deceased in the Long Beach, Washington area. The cause of her death was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. This conclusion marked the end of the active search for Golde, although the investigation into Pierce's death remained ongoing. The police continued to seek any additional information related to the case and encouraged anyone with relevant details to contact Detectives Brad Clifton or Calvin Goldring.
