On the evening of March 17, 2023, a St. Patrick's Day celebration at a local Marion, Iowa, bar named Cocktail's and Company turned into a scene of violence that claimed the life of 32-year-old Cameron Barnes, a Black / African American male. The night's festivities were tragically interrupted when a brawl erupted inside the establishment.
