In a quiet area of unincorporated Clackamas County, south of Molalla, Oregon, the life of 70-year-old Michael James McCann was brought to a tragic end. On Saturday, November 9, 2024, deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a suspicious circumstance at a residence in the 35000 block of South Ellis Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr.
McCann's body outside his home, bearing what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation into the death of the male victim quickly led detectives to a suspect. Early the following morning, on Sunday, November 10, 2024, the Clackamas County SWAT Team descended on an apartment in Wilsonville. There, they took 34-year-old Michael Morris McCann, the son of the victim, into custody.
Michael Morris McCann was subsequently booked into the Clackamas County Jail. He faces serious charges, including Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
