In the early morning hours of Saturday, November 25, 2023, a violent encounter in a parking lot in Allston, Massachusetts, left one man dead and another injured. Marco Alfonso Sosa, a 32-year-old Hispanic male from Lynn, was fatally shot. The incident took place in a parking area situated between 12 Glenville Avenue and 161 Harvard Avenue.
Boston police officers were first alerted to the shooting at approximately 2:27 a.m. when two men with gunshot wounds arrived at a local hospital.
Further investigation led them to the Allston parking lot where the shooting had occurred. While the second victim's injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening, Marco Alfonso Sosa was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting.
