On a warm Saturday night in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the life of a promising young man was tragically cut short. Albert Valentin Arias Moscat, a 17-year-old Black / African American male, was in the Brook Street area on July 6, 2024, when the sound of gunfire pierced the evening air at approximately 9:47 p.m. Lawrence Police officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of shots fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered the young man suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
