On September 29, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The victim, identified as Mitchell Felix Duru, 23, of Jamaica Plain, was found suffering from gunshot wounds at approximately 1:05 a.m. in the area of 849 Cummins Highway.

Officers from District E-18 responded to reports of a person shot at the location and upon arrival, they located Duru, who was an adult male. Despite the immediate response, Duru was pronounced dead at the scene. ...Read More
