In the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston, a burst of gunfire on the afternoon of Friday, November 8, 2024, abruptly ended the life of 28-year-old Jose Alberto Feliz, a Black / African American man. The fatal encounter unfolded behind an apartment building on Garfield Avenue, where Feliz sustained multiple gunshot wounds. When police officers from District E-18 arrived at the scene around 1:14 p.m., they found Feliz already deceased.
