On December 16, 2021, Diion Reid, a 27-year-old resident of East Boston, Massachusetts, lost his life to gun violence. The incident occurred in the afternoon when Boston police officers responded to a 911 call in the area of 7 Shelby Street. Upon arrival, they found Diion Reid in a parked vehicle, suffering from traumatic injuries. Despite any immediate medical intervention, Reid was pronounced dead at the scene.
