In the an eastern neighborhood of Indianapolis, a bright and promising young life was tragically cut short. James Johnson III, a motivated and well-loved 17-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of February 4, 2023. The incident occurred in the 5600 block of Lowell Avenue, where he was found with gunshot wounds and subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
