Death by Force

James Johnson III, a 17-year-old student at Purdue Polytechnic High School, was fatally shot on the evening of February 4, 2023, at a home in the Irvington neighborhood of Indianapolis. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 5600 block of Lowell Avenue, where police responded to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
