On February 13, 2023, 30-year-old Sabrina Gail Cowan of Indianapolis was found unresponsive with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound in a yard between two houses in the 3500 block of West 12th Street. She was transported to Eskenazi Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
