On April 9, 2023, 24-year-old Eddie Tyler was fatally shot in a violent incident in downtown South Bend, Indiana. The shooting occurred near the parking lot of Finnie’s Next Door bar on South Lafayette Boulevard. According to court documents and police investigations, the incident began with an argument between Tyler, his brother, and 28-year-old Marcus Hatcher of Niles.
