In the early hours of Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, a dispute in downtown South Bend, Indiana, escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of Eddie Tyler, a 24-year-old Black male. The incident unfolded near the parking lot of Finnie's Next Door bar on South Lafayette Boulevard, shattering the holiday morning with violence.
