Demetrius Echols, a 35-year-old resident of Michigan City, Indiana, tragically passed away on October 31, 2022, following a shooting incident that occurred on October 29, 2022, in South Bend, Indiana. Echols was one of two victims in the shooting that took place in the 1600 block of Huey Street near the intersection with Bulla Street around 8 p.m. on that Saturday evening. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital a few days later.
