In the early morning hours of November 21, 2017, the life of Keith Antonio Myers, a 42-year-old man from South Bend, Indiana, was brought to a sudden and violent end. Myers was asleep in his bed in his home on North Varsity Drive when gunshots shattered the predawn quiet. He was struck by a bullet and discovered by his wife, who immediately called for help.

Keith, born in Greenville, Mississippi, on April 21, 1975, had moved to South Bend with his family in 1983. He was a man known for his passions and his love for family and friends. A dedicated employee, he worked as a lead shipping and receiving clerk at New Carbon Inc. and had recently taken on a part-time role at FedEx. Outside of work, his life was filled with the joy of simple pleasures. He was an avid bowler, always chasing the perfect 300 game, and found peace while fishing on a lake or perfecting his swing on the golf course. Music was another of his great loves, a passion he shared with friends in an R&B group they formed called Xpression. Above all, he cherished his family, delighting in spending time with his wife and their one-year-old granddaughter.
The investigation into Keith Myers' death remains ongoing. Authorities have shared that his death was a senseless act of violence. In an effort to generate new leads, the South Bend Police Department has released information about a potential suspect vehicle. Witnesses reported seeing a white or light-colored sedan or a small SUV leaving the area immediately after the gunshots were fired. No arrests have been made, and the police continue to seek information from the public to bring justice to the family of Keith Myers.
