On April 26, 2023, 18-year-old Jamar Ward was found shot to death in a residential area on the near north side of Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a report of shots fired in the 3000 block of Broadway Street, west of the intersection of 30th Street and North College Avenue, shortly after 10:30 p.m..
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Jamar Ward was pronounced dead at the scene.
