On June 25, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in the 2000 block of Greentree Court in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The incident happened shortly before 5 a.m. when Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) officers responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they found 23-year-old Mattie Marie Wilson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
