When police arrived, they found Serenity Wilson deceased at the scene. In addition to the fatality, three other individuals sustained gunshot wounds, and a fourth person was injured in the rush to flee the area. Despite the large number of potential witnesses, law enforcement reported that no one from the crowd came forward to provide information regarding the shooter. The only individuals who spoke with police were two security guards who had not witnessed the shooting itself.
In the wake of the tragedy, Serenity's family and friends gathered for a balloon release to honor her memory, with nearly 200 people in attendance. Described as a goofy and caring individual with an infectious laugh and smile, her absence has left a profound void in the lives of her loved ones. Her grandmother remembered her as her 'first-born,' while her sisters shared cherished memories of their time together. The pastor of the nearby church, who spent the night comforting Serenity's grieving family, lamented the violence that had claimed the life of a 'good girl' who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and police have not released any information about potential suspects. The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward to help bring justice to Serenity Wilson and her family.
