Makylah Jean Brent, a 24-year-old woman, tragically lost her life in a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis on May 14, 2025. The incident occurred outside an event center located in the 6400 block of Massachusetts Avenue. According to law enforcement officials, there was a disturbance in the parking lot before the shooting took place.
