In the autumn of 2023, the life of 36-year-old Bryan E. Streeval was cut short in Columbus, Indiana. On the night of October 11th, police were called to the 1900 block of Pinebrooke Court around 10:27 p.m. following reports of a robbery and gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Bryan Streeval in the yard of an apartment building, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers administered medical aid to Streeval until paramedics arrived at the scene.
He was then airlifted to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Bryan Streeval succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Streeval, a resident of Columbus, was born on June 5, 1987.
During the investigation into the shooting, authorities identified another 36-year-old Columbus resident, Jonathan Carman, as the individual believed to have shot Streeval. Carman was taken into custody by police for questioning. After being interviewed by detectives, he was released. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Bryan Streeval's death is ongoing, with the Columbus Police Department being assisted by the Bartholomew County Prosecutor's office. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident at this time.
