On October 27, 2024, a shooting incident occurred near a nightclub in the 2200 block of State Street in Columbus, Indiana. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. when an argument escalated into a shooting. According to witnesses, 43-year-old Pedro Luis Rivera Ayala fired a gun during the altercation, and one of the bullets struck 32-year-old Bradford Alexander Kendrick Brooks, who was in the vicinity of the nightclub.
