Gabriel Emanuel Martinez, a 17-year-old male from Columbus, Indiana, was fatally shot on the evening of September 11, 2026, during an altercation involving a group of teenagers at the Parkview Rental Townhomes on the city's east side. Police and emergency personnel were dispatched to the 3200 block of Country Brook Street North at approximately 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
