On October 20, 2023, Vanessa Lyn Brabson, a 34-year-old woman from Fort Wayne, Indiana, was found dead due to a gunshot wound. Her body was discovered in the 900 block of Sherman Boulevard, near Bloomingdale Park, at approximately 10:36 hours. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found her unresponsive, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
