On November 22, 2023, an incident occurred in New Palestine, Indiana, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Evan Neumeister. Neumeister, a senior at New Palestine High School and an active member of the Hancock County 4-H, was shot in the chest at an apartment in the 4200 block of South Eclipse Way.
