On February 18, 2024, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a violent incident at the Onyx Event Center, located at 7545 Rockville Road on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 12:15 a.m. to investigate a shooting that had erupted during a large gathering at the venue. Upon sweeping the area, first responders discovered a male victim lying at the rear of the building, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
