On April 26, 2024, a shooting occurred on the north side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 28-year-old Robert Lewis Woods. The incident was reported around 10 p.m. in the 2800 block of Ralston Avenue, just east of Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue. Responding officers found Woods suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
