On July 17, 2024, Joshua Allen Seymour, a 37-year-old male, was found deceased in a residence on East Louisiana Street in Evansville, Indiana. The cause of death was determined to be a shotgun wound to the chest, prompting a murder investigation by the Evansville Police Department.
In the days following the discovery of Seymour's body, investigators identified a suspect in the case.
The investigation led police to New Harmony, Indiana, where 54-year-old Martin Minard was located and taken into custody. Minard was subsequently arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Joshua Seymour.
Following his arrest, Martin Minard was charged with murder. The case is now proceeding through the legal system.
