Travis Pennington, a 35-year-old resident of Michigan City, Indiana, died on August 15, 2024, in a tragic incident that has been ruled a homicide. Pennington and a 22-year-old woman, Kiara Hootman, were found shot multiple times in the front seats of a vehicle in the parking lot of the Normandy Village Apartments early Thursday morning. The LaPorte County Coroner confirmed that both victims were shot from outside the vehicle.
