In the early morning hours of August 15, 2024, the lives of two individuals were tragically cut short in the parking lot of the Normandy Village Apartments in Michigan City, Indiana. Travis Tremayne Pennington, a 35-year-old male, and a 22-year-old woman, Kiara Hootman, were discovered inside a vehicle, both having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
