Three-year-old Lance Wilson, a Caucasian male, died on Sunday, September 15, 2013, inside his home at the Terrace Acres Mobile Home Park. The cause of his death was a single gunshot wound.

Lance was with his mother's live-in boyfriend, 24-year-old Zachariah Grisham. Following the incident, Zachariah Grisham was taken into custody by the La Porte County Sheriff's Department. He faced charges of neglect of a dependent and reckless homicide.
