Brandon Lerez Groves, a 40-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, lost his life to gun violence on August 19, 2024. The incident occurred in the 4100 block of West Vermont Street, where police responded to a report of a person shot shortly after 2 p.m..

Upon arrival, emergency medical personnel found Brandon Lerez Groves suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite attempts by police to render aid, Groves was pronounced dead at the scene.
