In the late summer afternoon of August 19, 2024, the life of 40-year-old Brandon Lerez Groves, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana. Police were dispatched to the 4100 block of West Vermont Street shortly after 2 p.m. following a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Groves suffering from gunshot wounds.
