Jabril Ross, a 35-year-old resident of East St. Louis, Illinois, was fatally shot on January 7, 2023. The incident occurred inside a barbershop located in the 7400 block of State Street in East St. Louis, which is approximately three blocks away from Katie Harper Wright Elementary School.
