On June 27, 2023, 32-year-old Dedrick Baker, known to many as "Huncho" or "Lil Dude," was fatally shot in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the city's South Side.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Baker's identity following the shooting. Community members and loved ones have since commemorated his life by lighting 186 candles in his memory.
