On November 6, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in the Washington Heights area of Chicago's South Side, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Shya Clark. The incident took place around noon in the 8900 block of South Justine Street, where Clark sustained a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene by police.
