Ira Fields, 69, a man, was fatally shot on the evening of June 8, 2025, in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood, as he and another man walked out of E & J Liquors in the 5400 block of South Damen Avenue. Around 8:05 p.m., three people stepped out of a dark sedan—described by witnesses and police as a dark Chevrolet Cruze—and opened fire.
