Ronald Johnson, a 25-year-old Black man, was fatally shot by Chicago police officers on October 12, 2014. The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. in the 5400 block of South King Drive. According to authorities, tactical officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area. When they arrived, they encountered Johnson, who allegedly pointed a gun in their direction. One of the officers opened fire, striking Johnson multiple times. He was pronounced dead less than an hour later at the University ...
