On Saturday, December 2, 2023, at approximately 6:57 PM, Sauk Village Police Officers responded to a call regarding a gunshot victim in the 200 block of Park Avenue in Sauk Village, Illinois. Upon arrival, the officers found 16-year-old Amanit Dismukes of Hammond, Indiana, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the yard of a residence. Despite the immediate response, Amanit Dismukes was pronounced dead at the scene.
