Black / African American male, age 54, Cozenn Johnson was shot inside a home in Chicago’s Ashburn neighborhood on May 17, 2024. Around 4:34–4:35 p.m., the 54-year-old man was inside a residence in the 3800 block of West 85th Street when someone fired into his chest; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting occurred on the city’s Southwest Side, and responding officers confirmed there was no one in custody at that time.
