On August 4, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the Chinatown neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the death of 39-year-old Joseph M. Garcia. The incident took place around 3:01 a.m. in the 2100 block of South Canal Street, outside Lawrence's Fish and Shrimp restaurant.
