Shamar Rice, a 30-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on October 24, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 8:24 p.m. in the 100 block of West Swann Street on the South Side of Chicago. According to police reports, Shamar Rice was involved in an argument with another individual when the situation escalated into a physical altercation.
