On Saturday, August 17, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Galesburg Police Department responded to a shooting incident at 1435 Moshier Avenue in Galesburg, Illinois. Upon entering the residence, officers found Heath D. Williams, Sr., a 47-year-old man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The officers immediately provided life-saving measures in an attempt to stabilize Williams before he was transported to OSF St. Mary Medical Center Emergency Room for further treatment.
