Gregory Delandiz Tucker, a 33-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 24, 2022, in Galesburg, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:32 a.m., when the Galesburg Police Department responded to a call of shots fired in the 2100 block of Grand Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a shooting had taken place in an empty lot between 2051 and 2085 Grand Avenue. Tucker was transported by a private vehicle to OSF St. Mary's Hospital
