Mary Elyce Halcomb, a 20-year-old woman from Mapleton, Illinois, tragically lost her life to gun violence on September 6, 2024, in Peoria, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of South Griswold Street, where Mary was found deceased at 11:47 pm.

The Peoria Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 10:41 pm on the night of the incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mary suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scen ...
