Ramon T. Clark, a 44-year-old man from Bloomington, Illinois, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Urbana, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Fairview Avenue, where Clark was found by the Urbana Police Department after they were dispatched to the scene due to a report of a shooting.
Clark was transported to the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, where he was pronounced dead at 4:24 AM.
The Champaign County Coroner’s Office identified Clark as the victim and scheduled an autopsy for Monday, October 28, 2024, to determine the exact cause of death. An inquest may be held at a later date as part of the ongoing investigation.
The Urbana Police Department is leading the investigation into the shooting, with assistance from the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services. Police executed a search warrant and processed the scene for evidence.
