In a tragic turn of events on a Sunday evening in Jonesboro, Georgia, a verbal dispute escalated into fatal violence, claiming the life of 34-year-old Aisha Reed. On February 19, 2023, Reed was shot multiple times while inside a vehicle on Kendrick Road. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 10:30 p.m. and found Reed critically injured. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
The investigation into the shooting quickly identified 32-year-old Hashun Marcella Jordan as the suspect. According to law enforcement, an argument between Jordan and Reed preceded the shooting, after which Jordan allegedly pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots. Following the incident, Jordan fled the scene, prompting a manhunt by the Clayton County Police Department.
A few days later, in a significant development, Jordan's own mother facilitated his surrender to the authorities. On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, she contacted the Clayton County Sheriff and arranged for her son to be taken into custody.
