Dr. James Lee McTyre, Jr., a dedicated educator and counselor, was born on March 12, 1956, at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was the son of the late James Lee McTyre, Sr., and Mozell Thomas McTyre. Dr. McTyre's early education took place in Columbus, where he attended Claflin Elementary, J.D. Davis Elementary, and Marshall Middle School, culminating in his graduation from William H. Spencer High School in 1974.
