On March 4, 2023, 15-year-old Samuel Micah Moon was tragically killed in a mass shooting at a Sweet 16 birthday party in Douglasville, Georgia. Samuel, born on March 30, 2007, in Austell, Georgia, to Beverly La Fleur and Shendi Moon, was a STEM student at Lithia Springs High School.
