On April 28, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in the 3500 block of Panthersville Road in Decatur, Georgia, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Tayshawn Foston. During the incident, two people were found shot; Tayshawn Foston was pronounced dead at the scene, while another person suffered a gunshot wound and survived.
