On the night of May 26, 2023, 25-year-old Jamiyah Parker was fatally shot at an apartment complex on Waldrop Trail in DeKalb County, Georgia. DeKalb County Police reported that around 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a call and found both Parker and a male victim in their twenties with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to local hospitals, where Parker later succumbed to her injuries. The male victim was reported to be in stable condition.
