Makala Ireon Perkins, a 23-year-old woman from Grovetown, Georgia, died on May 12, 2023, due to a fatal shooting. The incident occurred outside Suz Lounge, a nightclub located at 3253 Deans Bridge Road in Augusta, Georgia. Perkins was shot at approximately 4:35 a.m. and was found by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in the parking lot with at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to Augusta University Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries about two hours later.
