On June 10, 2023, 25-year-old Jamie Bernard Burton, Jr. was found deceased at Westlake Apartments in Chatham County, Georgia. The incident occurred around 6:10 am when officers were dispatched to a shots fired call. Upon arrival, they discovered Burton's body in the breezeway of one of the apartment buildings, where he had succumbed to a gunshot wound.
