On July 15, 2023, Scott Leavitt, a 67-year-old resident of the Dogwood Lakes neighborhood in Hampton, Georgia, was one of the four victims of a mass shooting in his community.
Scott Leavitt was shot and killed, along with his wife, Shirley Leavitt, 66, and their neighbors Steve Blizzard, 65, and Ronald Jeffers, 66. The shootings occurred within a 10-minute span in the same neighborhood where the suspected gunman, Andre Longmore, also resided.
